Kurobuta, Harvey Nichols.

Mid week and what better to do on a Wednesday night than dinner with my girlfriends at Harvey Nicks. I love Kurobuta on the Kings Road and thought I’d give the relatively new concession a try. I had my favourite miso roasted aubergine with sticky walnuts which was decadent and delicious; so sweet it was almost dessert like. The tuna sashimi pizza with ponzu and spicy jalapeños was next on my list and it was fresh and zingy, the perfect palate cleanser- I never thought I’d say that about pizza! The shrimp tempura was good but not great, but hey it was fried and yummy. The spicy tuna maki were delicious and made even better with a crunchy coating. The standout dish was the steamed pork belly buns with peanut soy sauce, so indulgent, sticky and moorish. The pork fell apart and was super succulent, and worth every calorie! Go for the aubergine and the pork buns, but I have to say the atmosphere is a lot better in the Kings Road one so I would recommend that over HN. Having said that if your shopping and fancy a bite to eat, drop in for some yummy sushi- you won’t be disappointed.
